O Education Memory Center (CME) was created in 2001, a scientific body of the Faculty of Education of the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP and its purpose is to capture, promote and make available documentary sources related to the memory of Brazilian education, in order to stimulate research related to the memories and histories of education in the various areas of knowledge.
Its collection currently consists of the following funds (archival document sets): MAURICIO TRAGTENBERG, FE (Faculty of Education); MALBA TAHAN (Julio Cesar de Mello e Souza); RBHE (Brazilian Journal of History of Education); SCHOOL MAIL (Cecilia Pavani); and WHITE (Brazilian Reading Association), emphasizing the Group COLLECTION (Brazilian Reading Congress). The CME has been preserving this documentation, and these documentary collections include textual, iconographic, sound, and three-dimensional documents, whose arrangement system is being processed and organized according to archival standards and made available for consultation by appointment.
