According to the Normative Instructions, the Postgraduate Commission of the Faculty of Education – UNICAMP established the requirements for the completion and validation of Proficiency in Foreign Languages in the Postgraduate Program in Education and in the Professional Master's Program in School Education.
Proof of proficiency in foreign languages is a mandatory requirement for:
- Master's degree (academic and professional): 1 (one) foreign language;
- Doctorate degree: 2 (two) foreign languages.
Foreign language proficiency can be demonstrated by:
I – Examination administered by the Postgraduate Program;
II – Certificates from recognized international examinations;
III – Certificates from accredited language teaching institutions.
>> For foreign students, proof of proficiency in their native language is not required.

This document addresses the verification of proficiency in foreign languages for graduate programs at the Faculty of Education. The Graduate Program of the Faculty of Education at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) informs that Normative Instruction CPG/FE No. 03/2026 will be applied to students entering Graduate Programs from the year 2026 onwards.For students who enrolled in previous semesters, the rules in effect at the time of their enrollment remain valid. - CPG Resolution 02/2024

Foreign Language Proficiency Exam – 2025

Attention – approval documents will be entered directly into the SIGA system.
Important:
The Proficiency Exam is exclusive to regular students enrolled in the Postgraduate Program in Education (Academic Master's and Doctorate) and the Professional Master's in School Education at the FACULTY OF EDUCATION at Unicamp.
- The use of PRINTED DICTIONARIES will be permitted. Digital dictionaries accessed via cell phone not will be allowed.
- Arrive 15 minutes early.
- The test will last a total of 04 hours.
- On the day of the exam, there will be signs at the entrance about the rooms and languages.
ATTENTION: For exam organization reasons, students who have not previously registered will not be allowed to take the test on the scheduled day.
Registrations will be made exclusively through an electronic form from 05 (from 10 am) to 12/05/2025 (until 17 pm)
