A few months ago, CAPES began testing the payment of postgraduate scholarships and teacher training programs for basic education through PIX. The initiative, which is in an experimental phase, is initially being implemented for a limited group of beneficiaries, with the aim of evaluating the viability of the new payment method.
The Foundation emphasizes that, if the scholarship holder receives any message regarding the amount of the payment via PIX, this process is part of the validation of the tool, which aims to speed up the transfer of the benefit so that it is received immediately.
The remaining scholarship holders will continue to receive payments as usual, through traditional methods, until the PIX implementation process is expanded to everyone. CAPES reinforces that the deadline for making payments by the fifth business day of each month remains in place.
