Synopsis
In this edition of the Seminar, considering LOED's commitment to discussions around the social quality of public schools and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the school context, we aimed to provide a space for dialogue that would problematize and reflect on different dimensions of social quality, whether or not considering the pandemic context. The event lasted four days, with the participation of national and international researchers, professionals from different municipal, state and federal networks, and undergraduate and graduate students from the most diverse states in the country. The program consisted of an opening conference, two round tables, ten dialogue rooms, with 48 different papers presented, three culture circles and a closing panel. Among the discussions undertaken, we highlight, in addition to the debates around educational assessment and Participatory Institutional Assessment, the reflection on human formation and the processes of constituting school quality, the pedagogical work directed at the dimensions of integral human formation in the school routine, the participatory processes within the school and social quality, the public-private relations and the forms of privatization of education and the experiences around the multidimensionality of human formation in contexts of pedagogical practice.
