Training strengthens pedagogical practices in Early Childhood Education and concludes the LEEI Deepening 2024 cycle with prospects for continuity.

The final seminar brought together educators and consolidated a training program focused on Early Childhood Education.

Strengthening reading and writing as social practices from early childhood, based on the daily life of schools and the concrete experiences of teachers, was the central theme of the cycle. The initiative integrates the Reading and Writing Project in Early Childhood Education, developed within the scope of National Commitment to a Literate Child (CNCA), from the Ministry of Education. The In-Depth Study program was conceived as a continuation of studies initiated in 2024, promoting spaces for dialogue, reflection, and analysis of pedagogical practices experienced in schools, focusing on children's protagonism, playfulness, teacher mediation, and the appreciation of children's culture.

The training course was developed in Unicamp Campus, under the coordination of the Associate Director of the Faculty of Education at Unicamp (FE), Prof. Dr. Guilherme Prado, and Professor Dr. Renata Frauendorf, with a team comprised of current and former undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty of Education. The pedagogical advisory team includes... Heloísa Helena D. Martins Proença, support for evaluation and monitoring, Matthew Henry of Amaraladministrative support, Monica Menezes Santos — all former graduate students — and the IT support, a former undergraduate student. To PradoThe LEEI Deepening program reaffirms early childhood education schools as legitimate spaces for professional development. "The LEEI Deepening program was created as an invitation for teachers and coordinators to think, reflect, and write about their own practices, strengthening early childhood education as a field of knowledge, listening, and knowledge production. It is a training that arises from lived experiences in schools and returns to them in a more conscious, ethical, and collective way," she states.

During the final seminar, records, reflections, and experiences built throughout the in-person meetings held in 2025 were presented, highlighting the strengthening of a culture of peer study and horizontal knowledge building. The event also included the presence of municipal coordinators and the state coordinator of...  National Network for Coordination of Management, Training and Mobilization (RENALFA), a central component of National Commitment to Literate Children (CNCA), Minéa Paschoaleto FratelliIn addition to the secretaries of Education from the participating municipalities.

As a result of the training process, the continuation of the project was announced through... PROLEEI, which will have a new edition planned for 2026, expanding training to other municipalities in the state of São Paulo, maintaining the focus on Early Childhood Education and the principles that guided the LEEI Deepening program.

The experience of the LEEI Deepening 2024 program demonstrates the power of partnerships between public universities and municipal education networks, strengthening pedagogical practices that recognize children as subjects of rights and the school as a space for ongoing training, study, and collective reflection.
